Comments:

Multiple QLF's on first night of having my own station back again after 4 months
waiting for the FT-1000MP MkV to be repaired. First QLF was forgetting about
Daylight Savings Time. Also forgot to plug in the line from the Beverage switch
box to the rig -- quickly remedied.

Conditions good on all bands, so have only the op to blame for the score. But
happy to have broken 1000. Missed a loud WJ9B in the last seconds on 160; N3BB
couldn't hear me so only locals K6MR and N3ZZ, both way ahead of me.

Several NSr's attended our very enjoyable NS breakfast at the Visalia
convention: K6DAJ, KI7Y, N3ZZ, K4XU, K6MR, W6SX, and yours truly plus a small
bunch of maybe 5 non NSr's. While Abelskeivers is the signature dish at
Valhalla (not that great according to some) the orange juice is good beyond the
believable. Amazing that I ordered and enjoyed actual oatmeal with fresh
blueberries. Probably be the death of me -- too healthy. Some years ago, my xyl
noted that runners live an average of 13 minutes longer than non-runners.
Visalia was especially enjoyable this year with many good contesting discussions
taking place.
