Comments:
We've had so much rain in Kansas this spring that I haven't been able to mow the
lawn. We live on a farm, so there's a bit to mow! 7QP Saturday turned out to be
a rare sunny day, so I went back and forth between mowing and operating.
Band conditions on 20 were good most of the day, and 40 was good in the evening.
I spent the late hours CQing on 80m CW which actually worked quite well. My one
lone 15m contact was with a loud W7RN. Great fun to work back to my home call
area as always!
After last year, I was down to 15 counties out of 259 that I'd never worked
during the 7QP. This year I picked up one new one: WYSWE.
Here are the counties I have never worked in the 7QP :
AZ : all worked
ID : CAR FRA FRE LEW WAS
MT : BLA GOL LIB ROO ROS TRE WHE WIB
NV : all worked
OR : all worked
UT : all worked
WA : all worked
WY : all worked
The 7QP is a unique effort over a very wide area. Thanks to the CODXC, other
state sponsors, and all the participating stations for another job well done!
You're all invited to the 2019 Kansas QSO Party on August 24-25. Kansas
stations hope to put you all in their logs from our 105 counties!
73, Bob, w0bh
