Comments:

Big failure tonight. Was cruising nicely on a long, long run on 40m. As it
slowed down, I began listening to 80 between CQ's on 40 and heard HA8RM. When I
tried calling him on 80, my PC went nuts...adding all sorts of letters and
figures after my call and filling up the N1MM entry fields. I tried a couple of
times and got the same problem. SWR was its usual flat self: 1.1:1. I rebooted
N1MM. No difference. I rebooted the computer. no difference. I can't think of
any significant or even minor configuration changes I may have made since the
weekend (last time on 80m). Very bizarre. At any rate I managed to eke out one
QSO on 80 this evening (HA8RM - Tks Peter!). The run on 40m was great fun; Only
a few multi-caller pileups, but mostly just nice steady rate. Even had three DX
stations call me (4x6gp, ly5a, dk6kva -- thanks guys!) Plus worked two others
(dk9py and ha8rm). Love when that happens.

73,
dale, kg5u
