Comments:

Radio: Ten-Tec Orion
Antenna: DX-Eng 80/40 Thunderbolt 55ft Dual Band Vertical
Software: N1MM Logger+ 1.0.7753.0

Trying an All Asia contest at this point of the solar cycle with an 80/40
vertical is an ultimate exercise in "managing your expectations": set
your expectations low and be prepared not to meet them. On the other hand, there
was only one station that I heard and did not manage to work. S&P only. Low
power is not an impediment: if I hear them, they -with antennas far superior to
mine- will eventually hear me. It's all about the ears... And the exchange not
changing for every contact. Even at ESP, if I have to spend a looong time to
make sure I have their call-sign and exchange right, so be it. My rate is lousy
anyway. But when I finally have it right, I just need to make sure I hear my
call-sign back... And the CFM...

As usual, it's the emptiness of a giant arctic ice floe out there... when you
are running low power to a vertical.
