Comments:
Was home and had the weekend free, so thought I would do more testing of the
remote. I would not have any 160 or receive antennas, and my tower with the
20/15 monobanders would be cranked down, so I would not be at full strength.
Nonetheless, I thought it would be fun to get on and give the remote its next
test.
On Thursday night, the power supply for my amps failed. I have a spare unit,
but no practical way to make a substitution at the last minute. It would be a
low power weekend and not as serious as originally planned.
Overall, the contest had very slow first four and last four hours with some fun
hours sandwiched in.
The Writelog remote capability worked great. I never felt that I was less
effective operating remotely.
