Comments:
This contest was my highest CQ score ever. The band was open both Saturday and
Sunday, the last time that happened was back at the previous solar cycle minimum
I believe around 2008 or 2009. I was surprised at all the activity on SSB. The
best part of contest, was on Saturday around 2250 I was chatting with K2DRH, Bob
in EN41 about a special event on 50.185 and after we finished, Bob gave me the
frequency. I started to call CQ, and worked a long pile up for almost two hours.
(thanks Bob). The band was on fire, I was averaging about 1-3 QSO's a minute,
which is plenty for me as I still don't use a logging program. Paper and pencil,
so this was rough but fun. I missed a few DM's Sunday, they were calling and
popping up on FT8, but I was not able to log them for the contact. I am
exhausted and need some quiet time.
