I was not planning to operate this contest...
I am helping Don, VE9XX, get his station working remotely.
On a whim, I asked if I could play in WAE...
- No 15 or 10 antenna working
- No Rotator on 20 -- pointed at Europe
- 40m Inverted V at 80 feet
- 80m Flat Top at 80 feet.
- Difficult band change mechanism
It was the first time using my VE9 Callsign, which I've had for years.
It was the first shakedown (for me) from Don's station.
All I can say is WOW. There's going to be another player from Canada's easy
coast. Station is near Bathurst, NB -- and right on the ocean.
