Comments:
Moved from OH2MZA to OH3BCX just in time for CWT.
Power is King in these conditions, but on 14 MHz
I had to cut it to Queen size -3 dB, due to my
BC-format tuner cap starting to flash over. On
7 MHz it had to be even 200 watts maximum, which
can be helped by choosing a different coax length
to the high SWR vertical (one length, "all band").
On 14 MHz the G-direction was a special challenge
with slow QSB. CQ CWT invited some non-members and
a big surprise was N5AW Marv popping in at 1325Z...
N4AF Howie also worked and one VA1-signal heard...
Happy to work OH2KI Jorma too with his iconic #144
number (me being a keen VHF operator)....
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA CWops #1856
