for 15 Meters only,and a ZS6BKW wire antenna up 50 feet,running N-S at 6,053
feet elevation from Grid Square DN-71od in Laramie county Wyoming. WORST DX
CONTEST CONDITIONS EVER ENCOUNTERED IN OVER 30 YEARS OF CONTESTING! This one was
a real slog,with weak signals on 20 Meters,and a very crowed 40 Meter band. I
made less than half of my last year's score and multiplier count.I made 48
contacts on 40 Meters,34 on 20,and a mere 9 Q's on 15 meters. Never heard a soul
on 10 or 80 Meters that could also hear me.However...I did contact 35 countries
including Suriname,Cape Verde,French Guiana,Montserrat,and Pitcairn Island,using
just 100 watts and a single wire antenna strung between two trees above my
Apartment QTH,so I suppose that I did O.K. for a low powered,no tower,no beam
station. Thanks to all that contacted me, and for providing many needed exchange
fills.These solar conditions can only get better I hope! November Seven Many
