Comments:
80 M really was a fun band again this year ... especially the first evening. It
was more of a struggle after that, but still good conditions I thought. Lots of
huge (and many times very unruly) pile ups. Big thrill busting pile ups with
100 W and 80 M inverted "L" with 55 quarter wave radials. Being on a
hill helps out a lot, too. Many fantastic ops out there with good ears ... many
thanks for hanging in there. Thanks to all that went to far away destinations,
and to all: thanks for all the Q's. Power naps help out greatly. The claimed
score of 42+K is just that ... subject to change once log checking takes place.
Some luck is also involved. Like when I took a short break to grab a bite to
eat ... came back and quickly worked four new mults in 30 minutes. I have
always liked this contest, and I look forward to next year's contest. It's
always good to run across old friends, and new ones as well. CW DXing and
contesting ... it does not get any better!!
