Comments:
SOAPBOX: First participation with Rx capabilities (K9AY loop) that match the Tx
SOAPBOX: antenna (Inverted L, hanging off a 60ft tree). I am not very
SOAPBOX: experienced when it comes to 160m contesting, so I went in Assisted,
SOAPBOX: with some basic goals (complete 160 WAS, see what DX I can hear and
SOAPBOX: work and observe the propagation as it progresses) to not miss
SOAPBOX: anything. I was positively surprised how well the K9AY loop works. I
SOAPBOX: already got a rough idea during CQWW, but since there was no higher
SOAPBOX: band for faster points and more multipliers, I enjoyed the opportunity
SOAPBOX: to make a bunch of DX contacts without being in a hurry and
SOAPBOX: occasionally listen to some of my neighbor stations. I made more
SOAPBOX: contacts than I expected and completed my WAS (if all missing ones use
SOAPBOX: LOTW). The only missing sections are SK and NT. Thanks everyone and
SOAPBOX: till next time! 73, Wolf
