Comments:

All I can say is WOW! What a weekend. Had a good time Friday night from the home
QTH in the RAC contest using the delta loops I have here(towers moved to contest
QTH) and conditions seemed good. Listened on 160 a bit and worked a few RAC Q's
to see what condx might be like for Stew. Hoped they would hold up for Stew and
boy they did!

Drove the 1/2 hour down to the contest site and was set up by about 14:30 local
time. Found a freq and started cq'ing with a slow stream of NA stations being
worked the first hour or so. Started hearing EU underneath my CQ freq by 15:30
local time, first one in the log shortly after. Things looking good, and it
never let up all night.

Some of the EU stations were so loud it was surreal. There were times I asked
for repeat simply because I thought it had to be a station from NA, too strong
to be from EU. It sounded like 20 meters here. Over 175 EU stations in the log,
amazing for a Stew Perry contest. I can only imagine what it would be like if
conditions were like this for the ARRL or CQWW 160 tests! Maybe things will hold
up for the CQWW leg. Worked EU all night until well after there sunrise. Went to
bed when EU closed about 03:30 local time

Slept too long (seem to always do that!) got up about 06:30 in time for local
sunrise openings to the west. West coast was very strong, Easily worked KL7RA,
several JA's and RT0F. Heard a VK calling cq, no luck after several calls.
Combed the band up and down looking for new stations to work, finally had enough
and bagged it around 13:30.

Again, it was a blast! I appreciate all the Q's and the patience while I flipped
around through the beverages looking for the right one to RX you :-)
Best 73's all!

Bryan
