Comments:

Condx sounded very good. I could hear stateside stations working EU but I could
only hear about have of the EU stations on the beverage. I could hear them on a
compromise (short length) Carolina Windom. I tried tuning the Carolina Windom
designed for 80 meters and found the TS-590S handled the high SWR very well. I
tuned around and was totally surprised to be able to make a few contacts. I
worked K4RO and a few other stateside contacts to the North-East and Mid-West.
Total bummer that I didn't figure out this compromise antenna worked on the 160
meter band a day earlier. I could have made 160 meter contacts during RAC
contest. I guess you live and learn. A compromise antenna is better than none at
all.
