Comments:
What a difference a week makes! I felt a little weak on 20m during NAQP CW, and
with the exact same antennas I felt like the king of 20m this weekend. We had
really good short skip that added several hundred extra q's on 20 that normally
wouldn't be there. The only antenna change from last week was 160m. We knew
from testing that the 160m V at 125 ft was not getting out well, so Tim spent
many hours this week erecting a 160m vertical with a bunch of radials. I felt
much louder on 160 this time, and this antenna is a keeper for sure.
Thanks a ton to all the guys that helped make this contest possible. Always at
the top of the list is our mentor John K6AM. Without his help, knowledge and
expertise we couldn't do what we do.
Thanks for all the q's and qsys. Congrats to all the big scorers out there.
73,
Dan N6MJ
