I tried to pick up some 10M Qs at the very start of the contest. Although
several close in stations were operating I heard nothing on 10M. 15M was
similarly desolate at the time so I went to 20M and worked my way down the
bands. Conditions were certainly not as good here as for NAQP CW, but I'm given
to understand that conditions were much better in other East Coast locations. It
certainly was good to put voices to those CW signals we log in most contests.

Now to check out CW and SSB on the ARRL VHF contest. I'm not holding my breath.
