First time at the home station in over 10 years on more than just 6 meters.
This time, operating remote from FL with one radio, single yagi at ~ 40' and low
power EXCEPT on 6 where the big antenna is still up there. I turned on the 6
meter amp after a few hours!
Remote with K3/RemoteRig, and Green Heron wireless remote controls.
Tower mounted XVRTS above 6M, < 100W
Shack KW on 6
FT8 sure brings in activity, but I sure miss having folks call in to a CQ, and
move up through the bands...Oh well, I guess it's progress.
But, still a lot of fun, especially when I didn't have to brave the terrible WX
in WNY this weekend. Now, next is the self driving remote rover, eh?
This year, I expect to get the antennas up over tree height, and add a few more
bands and the 2nd radio! Maybe by June?
