I love working the low bands at night! Thanks for all those others choosing no
sleep so I could enjoy this :-)
Just a few weeks ago I outfitted my inverted-L with a FCP - folded counterpoise.
It worked magnificently compared to previous contests involving 160m. Hard to
do a good comparison spanning months and years but it appears this FCP really
plays well.
I had a problem with my 15m antenna in CQWW and thought it was fixed; not.
Something warms up with power and the VSWR/tuning changes a lot. Have to go
troubleshoot that. First thought is the M2 bead balun on the 15m feed. Some
serious time was lost Sat and Sun morning futzing with this....
I also placed around 40 radials around the base of the 20-15-10 tower and it may
be my imagination but seems to have helped.
No complaints with this one. had a great time.....
