Comments:
Still not able to score it, and didn't spent the few seconds to do it manually.
Bands very noisy here. No signals on 80, which seemed strange to me. Twenty
meters was watery with only a very few semi-loud sigs, such as N3RD, K4RO, etc.
Never tried CQing there. Still such a newbie at this thing, but at least now I
am able to use the SO2R to call a few on other bands once the mad scramble on 40
started to abate a bit.
Strangely this morning, I was cruising along early on a nice freq around 7030
and a friend suddenly opened up CQing about 50 Hz to the high side. I sent a
quick "QRL" but he never responded. So I tried to squeeze down a bit
lower. It was not pleasant and I might email him today and ask him about it.
He's a very FB op and I can't imagine what happened. That put a damper on my run
rate for sure.
All in all, this morning was difficult. I'm still in the learning mode for the
CWT.
