Comments:
7QP....something fun to do on Day 50 of self-quarantine. Albeit a casual one
radio effort, just sharing xyl Sandy N7RQ's station and not involving my
station, at all, as either a mult station or as a "ready on another
band" station. No strategy, no op schedule, operating when either wanted to
and having some fun. Which we did.
Saturday started out with a neighborhood 2+ hour power outage that cleared just
before the contest, but left us with some computer issues (due to a
malfunctioning UPS) and loads of Cox cable equipment problems. The cable modem
finally functioned after three reboots, ditto the wireless router and four
reboots for the cable box at our main TV. It's not good deal with an xyl that
cannot watch her Saturday morning programs, hi. The computer problem appears to
have corrected itself. That will need watching as it took ten minutes to boot
after the power outage.
We took frequent breaks (<30 min)that appear on the 15 hours operating time
shown by N1MM+. Sandy did the ssb operating (before losing her voice, twice) and
I did the cw operating. Best cw hour was 162 q's on 40 cw (0300Z hour). Best ssb
hour was 148 (1900Z hour).
To repeat an old expression....A Good Time Was Had by All!
