Comments:

This is where I got 15 hours of fame and running practice. My station is too
small to run much, so the NEQP is where I practice running as well as the only
place where I can effectively use the skill. Kind of circular.

Conditions seemed poor and I struggled much of the time with weak signals in
roller coaster QSB. It was a lot of work and I was exhausted on Monday. Better
antennas would help. Everything is inside my house except for one stray wire
tossed out the shack window to a little tree.

80m was my best QSO band although in the evenings I'm plagued with a high noise
floor plus gradually drifting bands of noise from unstable neighborhood RF
generators. I used a magnetic loop receiving antenna, which hangs on the spare
bedroom wall, to cut through this crap. It works great on 160m where I don't
have a transmitting antenna and pretty well on 80m. I can get good results if I
use it and also make the proper receiver adjustments.

On 40m and up the loop is pretty useless in my indoor setup.

I got the W1W call to promote the local Steampunk Festival this coming weekend.
It was cancelled, but I kept the call since I enjoy using it in the NEQP. Did it
last year and maybe it will become a tradition. Sometimes 1x1 calls are a
nuisance in contests, but I didn't experience any serious problems.

I didn't submit logs for the other QPs on this crowded weekend and just logged
their states. For me, there's too much going on and I suffer from overload.

I think there were more Delaware CW stations this year than usual. I also
enjoyed DX stations calling in: DL3DXX, LY5W, OM2VL, ON6NL, OT6M, PA3AVV and
others. Thanks.

Ken, AB1J
