Comments:
The Flex PGXL amp which I started using a week ago failed. Says high SWR and
shuts down. The 40 meter antenna is flat. Tried the new firmware. No fix.
Relpaced the new amp with the AL1200. This cost 45 minutes of time. Later the
Maestro screen lots the waterfall and band activity. This was back from repairs
a week ago! Tried various reboots and changed the network switch. It seemed that
it was stuck in the middle of a boot. Eventually a cold boot brought it to
life, but then lost the sync between the radio and N1MM so had to do a lot of
manual sending. Lost 30 minutes here. Of course, the SteppIR 18e did not work on
40, so used the inverted vee at about 70 ft. and the 3 element in bidirectional
mode.
Overall, the runs were good on SSB with lots of 2020 stations. Coverage of the
entire USA was very good. 1171 contacts.
