Comments:
I've decided I'd try to work DXCC MOBILE. Not sure how long it will take but I
figured WPX CW would be a good place to start. I made a lot of contacts sitting
in front of my house and even a few while inside my garage. My best spot was an
Aldi overflow parking lot less than a minute from home. Not much traffic and no
noise (except for the occasional truck or motorcycle going by). I use a Yaesu
FT-891 to a Yaesu ATAS 120A antenna powered by a Bioenna battery that lasted
Friday and all of Saturday before it died out. I operated a couple hours off and
on during the contest. I need set up rig control for next time. All my calls
and exchanges were sent with a paddle which got tiring.
In the end, most of my contacts were stateside but did I manage to work 42
countries. So, I got a good start to my DXCC MOBILE,it was something different
and fun.
