TORTURE!
The higher bands were terrible. Either because of the not so perfectly working
beam or because the bands were actually terrible. 20m dragged along with low
power the whole day.
After moving down to 40m I finally had it and turned on the amplifier. BOOM -
release the frenzy and the pipeline was saturated. N1MM shows highest run rates
for the evening at 180Q/hr and 114Q/hr in the morning. That was fun. Of course
not low power multiplier, but zero multiplied by two is still zero.
Lot's of weak stations and the East Coast was more or less absent except for a
few.
Copying 3A, 7A and the like stations was sure interesting given that we're still
in the middle of the first phase of a pandemic.
Thanks for all those that had patience while I had to ask for repeats due to
strong QSB and weak signals.
Bottom line: Field Day without the field is certainly not it and makes it just
another contest.
