Comments:
first time at the station after start of corona
after running WPX SSB, RDXC and WPX CW from OE3K i cant tell yo how much i was
missing operating from E7DX. OE3K is good, but home sweet home i was missing you
a lot!
even there were some repair to do and also needed to cut the grass i was very
motivated to operate. Unfortunatly always short in time and not possible to do
the work in the way i planed or wish to do ....but that´s life with having
station far away and not being able to travel in last months :(
didnt have enough time to check top rotator on 15 m stack so i leaved this
direction NA
and used other antennas for other directions!
during the contest noticed that 10m stack was not working ( failure in HP BPF)
was sloved on the fly taking the 10m filter away from setup
also noticed increased SWR on 80m 4SQ in direction SW ...still have no idea
whats wrong
20m Stack SWR was time to time higher than it should be....measurment after
contest was ok but found out that stack switching doesnt work anymore .....hmmm
Had some troubles with dual footswitch setup and DX log
Also noticed some issues with microham station master deluxe network
but this was not affecting SO contest.
i think total rebuild and rewireing of the station will come very soon on the to
do list !
as you can see i was pretty busy with all kind of issues
SO3R setup was working fine but most of the time i was busy using SO2R
so didnt have much opportunity to play with it to much !
QSO nummber in compare to last year is about 200 QSOs lower but score is for
about 500k higher, mult nummber is more or less same !
4000 QSOs were easy possible without the thunderstorm on satruday late afternoon
which did slow the rate for a lot in prime time of contest !
Also needed to use more 2nd radio for S&P to increase the mult nummbers
instead of 2BSIQ which was more productive in sence of QSOs!
no high rates on ssb (something i was looking for whole contest)except one short
opening to NA on 20m .... CW rate was always better!
thanks for QSOs and CU in next one....
i hope there will be no border locks anymore and i will be able to travel.
