Comments:
This is not a West Coast contest. No matter how hard I try, it's not a West
Coast contest. Conditions were pretty good on 20 most of the weekend, and
variable on 40. Friday night wasn't bad, but there was a ton of noise here on
Saturday that made copying weak stations impossible. I called CQ and heard
multiple stations answering, but no luck on receiving them. There didn't seem to
be any solar event causing the noise, but it pretty much sent me to bed early on
Saturday. 80 Meters during the summer is not even worth trying. I tuned around
and listened to East Coast stations working Europe, but I typically didn't hear
or barely heard the other side.
Oh well, maybe things will improve with the return of some sunspots.
