Comments:
Band conditions on 20M for the first hour or more were terrible. Worst noise on
20 (and for a while on 40) than I have heard at this QTH. Not sure of the
cause. Then seemed to have RFI for the first time since KU8E installed a new
ground system for me. On 20M, I had to be sure not to enter any data while
transmitting or what I was entering would wrong. Once the program didn't log
WD9GKG and I caught it and tried to enter it again and it wouldn't accept the
"9" in the call. Rebooted N1MM+ and that didn't help. Had to Restart
the oomputer to get it to log WD9GKG Fortunately I had jotted down his info.
After the restart, had no more problems with RFI or the oomputer. Pace slowed
down for this last session until the last hour when everyone seemed to come on
for a few QSOs and the guys who had been on were making a mad rush for the
finish. I had 5 QSOs in the last minute on 80M. Was amazed at that QSO at that
time with W1UU who is always or nearly always QRP from Cape Cod. Thanks for all
QSOs. Please look for W4AN/M in the TN QP tomorrow with KU8E and K4BAI
operating. There alwo will be other mobiles and it should be a fun QSO party.
73, John, K4BAI.
