Thanks everyone for coming back to OH4BCS in SAC CW.
The conditions were quite good. I activated some other
calls as well. Today on the contrary we had a 35 GW
Aurora on our back during the 1300Z CWT session. Still
I was surprised to be called by N5KD. After SAC CW I
did add a 970 cm director at 1.7 m from the full-wave
vertical (over-tall at 20 m height), and that improved
the DX-take-off by at least 1 S-unit (also according to
the simulator). Due to the over-tall radiator it did not
turn uni-directional, but the low angles got drastically
enhanced on 14 MHz. On 7 MHz it works like a normal vert.
