Comments:

This is a great QSO party! Thanks to the organizers, portable and mobile
operators for making this happen.

Propagation was difficult but better on Sunday morning. 15m tried to open here
but just a few db from happening.

In the first few hours of the contest, I was having some cw issues. I am always
running test software and didn't realize there was a problem. The amplifier was
trimming the first element and many were asking for repeats. It sounded ok in my
headphones but until I stopped and listened on another radio did I realize where
the problem was. Then I made some tweaks to work around the issue. This
certainly cost me some time on the air and added many repeats that normally
would be unnecessary. Thanks to a "friend" that told me my cw
"sucks" to make me realize I had better do something. Apologies to
anyone affected.

I had plotted out my strategy and had it next to me the whole time. K6T was a
key station to work as they were at a two county line. I never found them and I
was watching spots and searching the bands. That was just a bad mistake and they
were only there the first few hours of the contest. Smoke and ash drove them
off. I missed TEHA as a result.

Special thanks to K6AQL/M for a great job! The schedule was excellent and he was
always on the same frequency and easy to work. Way to go!

I worked a lot of casual operators and welcomed them to the contest. You never
know who is listening to you. Once you explain the serial and county, I would
work many #1 QSOs. The only thing that surprised me was the recurring
duplication of QSOs. I just worked them but some were only 4 Qs apart!

Special shout out to K5TR and W1UE who were all over the band doing a great
contesting job. It was fun watching them on https://contestonlinescore.com/

Again thanks for the yearly fun! See you next year.

73, Craig K9CT
