I think I was the only person in Madera County who was working the contest. My
setup wasn't great, I used my FT-891 at 100 watts with a 137ft EFHW at about
50ft. Location, antenna, and solarcycle were not ideal. I haven't really
mastered CW yet so all my contacts were SSB. If I upgrade to a better antenna or
go work out of a park somewhere I think I'll perform better next time. Just glad
to have been able to active a "rare" county for folks.
