Comments:
Well, I wasn't as prepared as I thought. I had walked the yard about 2 weeks
ago and fixed up a bunch of raised radials and spent the afternoon securing
other loose connections etc.
Spent Friday before the contest making sure everything software wise and audio
recording were all A-OK, but I never tested -E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G like I
should've. I was planning a 20m single band effort this year, just to be
different.(so I never really checked out anything except my 20m antennas)
I can't recall the last contest I did. Was maybe CQWPX CW?
\
\At 0 hour fired up the amp, heard a pop and I was back to LP. Dangit!
Made 4 Q's on 20m LP and went to bed.(mad) grrr - hi hi
Later on the 2nd night I went to 160m and had infinite SWR, so what I ended up
doing was connecting the cluster & clicking on spots 99% S&P. I got
tired of being the 209th guy in line to work DX
Sat afternoon I am not sure what happened. A little Es I think.....I worked
strings of really loud W0's who were saying I was the loudest thing on the 15m
band.....me with a delta loop, bottom @ 10' and 100w (and 200' of coax).....
The most exciting 42mins+ of the entire contest ! ! !
