Comments:
Dipoles, Dipoles, Dipoles …. For the first time in my Ham career I entered
this DX contest with NO Beams. 80 – 10M all dipoles and 500 Watts. Now here
is what I can tell you; I was unable to make any QSOs running. I tried a few
times but without any luck. So, I quickly focused of S&P and focused on the
multipliers. After about 12 Hours of operation I had had fill of DX contesting
without beams.
The sad part is that I have beams for 40-6M all in storage waiting for my new
home to be built. And a new Height Tower is now being made in FL. So, I be
running again soon (Mid – 2021) before the start of the next contest season.
But for now, I will stick to CWTs for my running fix! See you on the bands.
