IC7610 + Acom 1000 + Steppir 3 el./40 / 80M verticals

Tried to put in an iron-butt effort and ended with 31 hours in the chair, and
all were busy.

Couldn't work Europe through the hyperactive auroral zone, so had to do what I
could with what I had this weekend -- and that was capitalize on unfettered
access to the rest of North America. Ran and ran and ran, with brief forays to
search for mults that just weren't there from here. Conditions were good within
the hemisphere and to Asia but not good over the pole on any band.

Had a very good time with the online scoreboard
(https://contestonlinescore.com/) and also used the history tool on the
scoreboard to view my 2019 rates on the screen to compare with current progress
in real time throughout the weekend. Adds a nice extra dimension to the
competition with myself.

Second best-ever QSO total (about 130 shy of 2014's peak performance, but back
then 10M was a stellar run band unlike 2020). Just 189 mults spelled disaster
for a competitive score. Heard EU on 20M Saturday morning on a major skew to the
southeast rather than northeast. They couldn't hear me when I pointed at the
signal peaks, and there was absolutely nothing on the band when I aimed at 30
degrees where they should have been.

10M opened up for 35 Qs and 11 mults Sunday, so that's a good sign, even though
it occurred during a very energetic M-class flare.

80M was terrific, and so was 40M once it went a bit long mid-evening. Just
nothing from Europe workable on 40M with this setup. Sure had a lot of fun on
15M Saturday where I spent most of the day, and then bouncing back and forth
between 15M and 20M most of the day Sunday.

Now some sleep and let the CW in my ears fade away.

Thank you to all for such a great weekend.
