Comments:
Thanks Mr. Zhu BG4GOV for hosting this fully remote operation. Overall it was a
lot of fun and an eye opening experience for me as someone who doesn't get to
operate from BY very often. The local BY ops enjoyed the weekend as well. We
were able to get a rookie op to spend some time on the radio too.
The remote setup worked surprisingly well despite the fact that I'm 7000 miles
from the QTH. I worked the graveyard shifts while sitting in the warm afternoon
sunshine. The local ops very much appreciated not having to stay up past
midnight. Had a few N1MM log sync issues during the contest but these were
resolved eventually and didn't affect the contest.
High SFI meant a lot of interesting propagation on the high bands. 40m was the
workhorse band with plenty of EUs to run. Unfortunately the 80m antenna wasn't
the best and we didn't have a 160m antenna. Thanks for the Qs!
