9A/Croatia is a www.RemoteHamRadio.com station that members may operate
remotely. Rig consists of a FLEX-6300 driving an OM2000A+ 1500W amp. 160m
antenna is a 31.5m vertical with a top hat and 6 radials elevated 6m. A
beverage pointed at NA did a great job of reducing RX noise. However, most NA
stations couldn't hear me or had difficulty copying me due to QRM from costal EU
stations (Croatia is too far inland). Similarly, I couldn't copy most NA
stations. In other words, the contest was a bust for me! Propagation was A:2
on Friday night and A:5 on Saturday night. All I heard Saturday night was a few
stations that I had already worked. I only made 23 QSOs during 4.73 hours of
listening.
