Station : Ftdx5000, C3-SS@38', 40MDip@60', 80MVertDipole, 160M InvL, N1MM+

Soapbox :

Stars lined up for a semi-serious effort. Made Qs in 16 hours during the
test, but was really around a 12-13 hour effort.

What was with 40M? It seemed broken with very weak signals from all
directions all 24 hours. Then again the local noise floor is at least
10dB higher with all the holiday decorations around. Ran IPO2 and 18dB
of attenuation just to keep it under control.

Called lots of CQs and worked the second VFO hard. Used the skimmer all
weekend and have finally cleaned up the ugly stuff like Busted spots, PSK,
RTTY, FT*, MFSK. Very nice.

Have a plan for an RX antenna which I hope to get deployed before the Stew.

73,

Ken - WO1N
