Comments:

Man, it looks like I'm out of my league. I did my best, really - nose to the
grindstone, shoulder to the wheel and all that. My 135' tree vertical (not the
N6TR kind) seemed to transmit well enough, so I'll blame it all on my noise
level. Nothing heard from EU, AF, SA, OC except for one KH6, and AS except for
one JA, worked at my sunrise on Saturday just after the contest started. Hardly
any W1, W2, W3, W4, W5, W0, VE1, VE2, VE3 and no VY2. Almost everybody I called
(weak or not) came back to my call, so what does that tell you? (I did waaaayy
better in the RACWIN - lots of satisfying Qs.) After working pretty much
everyone I could hear, I QRT at 0800z. My N6RK loop wasn't able to reduce the
noise, so I'll have to try the K9AY I have stashed in the garage. Gotta get a
portable spectrum analyzer and go noise hunting. Glutton for punishment that I
am, I might show up in the CQ 160. Standby for more whining...
