Comments:

There may be a worse ham radio experience than unassisted low power phone
S&P with mediocre antennas, but I haven't run into it yet. Gutted it
through to 100 Qs before I went off to watch NFL football. Came back after
supper and stumbled onto a clear frequency on 80. To my surprise, that led to a
half-hour run. Decided to stick around and try 160, ending there with another
brief run just after 11 PM.

Hope I didn't let my team down too badly - if I had not been on a team I would
have quit early. My SSB run technique definitely needs work.
