Comments:
Just got back from my COVID vaccination. Easy compared to my monthly blood
tests and scans.
Started on 20 mainly because I never seem to find it open well. I should have
stuck to 40, but am always frustrated because the SteppIR does not work on 40.
20 seemed washed out and the rate lasted for about 15 minutes. There were
strong signals, but only the weak guys were calling me. Lots of CQing. Went to
40 at 1922Z. Had 69 QSOs at 1930Z Moved to 40 WPM and it seemed very
comfortable, smoother. Rate was OK, but slowed. Went S&P the last 15
minutes and had a rate of about 160 per hour. I should try an entire hour of
S&P just to quantify / set a base level for that activity.
Changed ISP for internet. We are rural, so it is marginal regardless. Telnet
drops out, so I don't do remote operating, or assisted for larger contests.
