Comments:

I'm just not that enthusiastic about 160M tests. Condx were more than a little
challenging the first night; I couldn't even log an AZ station, did get called
by loud VE6WZ and a few CO stations. I was still able to run at good rates about
the first 4 hours with about 460 Q's total. First half hour was about 100 Q's
and first hour 154. The 2nd night was much better to the west and better to EU
during the EU wee hours around 01-03Z. I managed to hold a "big gun"
spot around 01Z for over an hour which brought in some nice mults. At one point,
3 out of 4 callers were VE6's. I called S50C who was peaking S9 and had run
several USA stations, then a string of CQ'ing in my face.
He was not the only one. I could use a bit better low angle antenna my half
sloper, but working EU with LP would still be a challenge. The new FTDX-101D did
improve Rx capability in the crowded band. Around 0430Z, I was not hearing much
of anything out of EU and quit; I should have hung in there based on PVRC
reports.

I missed only WY and MT in the lower 48, worked VE1-7&9, PE, and NL. Thanks
for the calls/Q's.

73, Jeff N8II
