Comments:
Originally, I planned to participate seriously. But after the first two hours
during which I made 6 (yes, six) QSOs I decided to change plans. SSB with LP and
bad CONDX on 15/10 is not for me. I went to bed and during the Saturday enjoyed
family and works in the garden. In the afternoon I showed more details about
contesting to my daughter Laura (7Y old). During the whole contest she made hers
first 48 QSOs as OL5G (club callsign) - I hope it was not the last one :-)
During the race, my belief was strengthened that it is absolutely essential for
an LP participant to have enough "friends" to spot you. It happened to
me 3 times: I found a frequency where I had the courage to start CQ - the rate
was very slow, about 3Q in 10 minutes. Then someone spotted me and suddenly my
rate jumped to 250-300. After about 20 minutes everything stopped and so I gave
up and went to S&P again often almost deaf top guns...
Thank you all for calling me or answering my call!
