Comments:
Strange contest. Seemed like a fair amount of activity, but no one could hear
me. I suppose that's what happens when poor propagation meets a contest where
the prime points targets for the DX is in a different direction than the US.
I found my receive antennas weren't working in but one direction, which put a
big dent in my enthusiasm anyway. Must be a nearby lightning strike last week
took out the preamps. Still, this was a better result than I expected after the
first hour. I did end up quitting because I didn't feel like beatin g my head
against the wall for hours.
