Comments:
Interesting set of auroral conditions and mad propagation.
Easily worked a couple of YBs early on and a J6 with little effort... After
working the YBs I thought I was guaranteed to work all the continents but mother
nature had other ideas.
Only one AF station heard which was EA8 on Sunday. However I was obviously well
below his noise floor as no response over many hours. SA was similar with loud
CX and PY stations but unable to raise even a QRZ!
NOTHING heard from Asia, no UA9, no Cyprus, no Israel, nothing.
I raised the dipoles to 20 feet above the flat roof as a one off experiment for
this contest but no way to know if that made a worthwhile difference! Will need
to see if there are any comments and possibly try that again soon.
