Comments:
We tried and failed to find ANYONE who could come to Curacao for this usually
very popular contest here. (Down with COVID!) I was on site and covered about
half of the QSOs, and N7WA and KY7M operated via the remote to handle much of
the balance of the contest. We managed to cover 40 hours in this way. We three
are lovers of CW, so this weekend was a decidedly different experience for us.
Still, this was MUCH better than nothing, and we had a lot of fun. The station
equipment all played perfectly, the weather was great, and all of you who did
not come south missed a really fun weekend. I'm looking forward to having our
CCC SSB specialists back here soon.
I'm amazed and thrilled at the number of stateside 2x3 callsigns of new
licensees that we worked, particularly in the 4th call area. These ladies and
gentlemen are jumping into contesting and adding to the fun of these weekends.
Congratulations to all of our friends in Europe who continue to dominate this
contest in multiplier-rich territory with lots of dark hours and excellent
operators. The operator skill, courtesy, and efficiency of the ops in Europe and
the adjacent parts of Asia really stood out this year.
Thanks to the members of the Caribbean Contesting Consortium for all your
support during this past awful year, helping me to keep this place viable. The
maintenance is well in hand now, and the station is working perfectly now. Come
on down!
