Comments:
KX3 to a dipole, 5w. This was a great event, but I was only able to
participate for a couple of hours on- and-off Sunday afternoon. I think I got
all of the QRP CW operators in WHIT (that’s me and a couple of other guys) and
a few more GA stations, but my focus was out-of-state. I ran most of the time
and the response was almost overwhelming – great participation from all of
you! Congrats to Ned, WC4X (in WHIT), who did extremely well in QRP CW and who
was my first exchange when I was finally able to get on the air (on 20m), then
again on 40m. I finally got Alan, KR4AE, the other White County op, who I
think was also QRP. I had hoped to work more GA stations (mainly for the heck
of it) but I really couldn’t hear many when I was spinning the dial and only a
few called when I was running. I also wanted to do a little of the other
parties (NE, NM, ND) but I could not spare the time. Really, though, I was very
impressed with the participation and I can’t wait to see the stats when they
