Had a great time, I really like operating NEQP. Conditions were rough though.
I wasn't able to operate at all on Saturday, but I was able to put in a few
hours Sunday morning and into the afternoon. This was almost entirely a run
operation for me with just a small number of New England S&P contacts. For
the most part I really couldn't hear any of the other New England stations that
I saw spotted.
There was a little bit of EU activity, but I'm really glad this wasn't a DX
contest, it would have been a complete bust. Occasional west coast stations
calling in, but didn't work anyone operating in other QSO parties.
Operated Icom 7610 at 1kw using an Elecrat KPA1500. I used primarily two 61'
G5RV dipoles hung at 35', but would occasionally switch to the SteppIR Urbanbeam
headed toward EU to try and drum up some activity there. The dipoles were much
more productive for picking up southeast US and central US.
