Conditions were better than I expected. I could barely hear JA on 20 meters,
yet I worked one on 15 meters late in the contest.
The WPX contest was basically a way to kill time until 6 meters opened. It
never really did until the contest was almost over. If W0W had not been on a
grid expedition to EN48 in extreme northern Minnesota, I probably would not have
put in as many hours as I did.
