Comments:
I fired up the Honda generator and ran a long extension cord into the shack as I
have done for several Field Days in recent years. This year I invited my
16-year-old granddaughter to join me and turned her loose on phone after some
instruction and demonstration of technique. She held her own very well and
decided that "Unicorn" is a much better phonetic for "U"
than "Uniform"! That was good for a laugh. She said that the next
time I do a "serious contest" she is ready to participate. We will see
about getting her licensed first.
