Comments:
Although SS is my least favorite of CW contests, I thought I'd try something a
little different and challenging this year. I operated 40 meters only to test my
hypothesis that potentially, all or nearly all sections could be worked on this
band alone. Well, I managed to work 76 of them with 100 watts and a wire, while
putting in a casual effort. I believe that with a somewhat better antenna, and
with propagation cooperating, a clean sweep would certainly be possible. Thanks
to all the other FRC members who turned out and found their way into my log.
Maybe next year I can work the 8 sections I missed this time!
