The usual problems of "remote". Spent the first few minutes getting a
microphone working. Oh yeah, need a remote footswitch too, since I
don't get along well with VOX. Then the remote station was in use,
so waited... Then jumped in.
Nothing on 10m. Everybody on 15m, BUT I couldn't get the PTT or TX to
send RF! Something screwy...I finally got it to work if I kept the
focus on the radio, not on my logger - most inconvenient for logging.
Did a quick pass on 15m, then worked a handful of sporadic signals on
10m - fun! Back to 15m for another few, when the timer said 30 minutes
I took a break. Cam back an hour later, and tried to overcome the PTT
problems with VOX, and it worked pretty well. I worked another pass on
15m and a pass on 20m, and the timer hit 1 hour so I decided enough!
10m, 15m, 20m: GXP 3 element yagi at 72 feet
Flex-6600 at 5 watts
