Comments:

This contest was time-boxed into seven hours, since I had to leave Gwinnett
County and travel across town before it got too late. Seven hours less any short
breaks I needed to take.

Found a few stations on 10m the first and second hour, but there wasn't as good
an opening as there was for the CW NAQP. Still glad when 10m opens at all.
Worked only 10 and 15m until 1945z, trying to squeeze out all those mults that
would not be available later.

Despite 15m being open, 20m wasn't runnable for me, and working stations there
was a little difficult. I went to 40m at 2040z. I found a frequency can called
CQ for an hour and 15 minutes. Then back to check 15 and 20m for anything missed
earlier. At 2240z, dropped down to 80m, but it was just too early, not much
happening down there. So about 2305z, I'm back to 40m, and soon find another
frequency to CQ on for a half hour. Then a check back on 20m for missed
stations.

At 0000z, I'm down on 80m, squeezing out a short run, and then quick S & P
between 160m, 80m, and 40m in the last half-hour before 0100z. Not a bad score,
but it would have been higher had I worked the last three hours.

The Gwinnett station played well. I think my audio is just a tad over-driven,
which is something I need to work on. The 40m dipoles on the A743 and trap
dipole worked very well together. And having a 20m dipole in addition to the A3S
worked well, too. The 80m dipole seemed to be the better antenna earlier in the
evening.

On 160, 80 and 40m, I used the K9AY loops and diversity reception, which really
helped sort out callers to my CQs.

I'm still getting used to the P3, but I found it to be very beneficial during S
& P work. It was easy to tune right to stations that clearly showed on the
display. Also easy to check out whether 10 or 15m were truly dead or not in just
a couple of minutes. I need to move the P3 so it is in better line of sight
rather than having to turn my head.

All in all, a fun event. I wished I could have spent a few more hours.
